Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were recently engaged.  They haven't set a date yet, but Nicole is already busy planning the wedding.  They have been dating since 2006.

Joel popped the question with a 4 carat art-deco-inspired ring that Nicole helped design with ring designer Neil Lane.  She revealed the ring on the Late Show with David Letterman.
